Spring Nail Polish

I hope everyone had a good weekend.

I know I did. I had a good time over drinks on Friday night and slept in on Saturday - much needed, after multiple weekends spent travelling.

Sunday was even better! Talked to Mum and Dad, got a haircut (finally, yay!) and went beauty shopping at Sephora after. Wee! More about the haircut later.

Yesterday's beauty haul:

Since the time Spring/Summer 2013 ad campaigns began popping up, I find myself unconsciously drawn to Pastels! Not that anyone really needs a reason not to love pastels any time of the year, it's just that the range of colours that are available now are just too yummy to resist. I find myself drooling over candy coloured nail polish like a kid being let loose in a candy store. Not good.

This was my take on French Manicure last week!
(Sorry for the lack of better photos of my nails then).
These are a combination of Sally Hansen's Lacey Lilac and Topshop's World's End and Pool Party.
Colours on my toes generally stay a lot longer. So these are still on me.
Once again, Topshop's World's End and Pool Party!

I love Butter London's range of colours. I've used many brands prior to this and for the price you're paying, you get good texture that is quite easy to use. On top of that, the colour (I used Fiver) is really quite potent. No need for multiple layers of varnish.

I had Sephora's Pineapple, Butter London's Fiver, Topshop's World's End and Sally Hansen's Lacey Lilac on my left hand and Topshop's World's End and Pool Party again (yes, am completely obsessed) on my right. Sportsgirl's Smoke was my base this time. 'Smoke' is actually a grey, but somehow looks a bit nude in the photo.

I recommend using greys, nudes or white's if you are planning on mixing pastels for nail art this Spring. Use black if you prefer a grungier look.

These are some of my favourite styles for Spring from all over the web!

I hope I leave you feeling at least a little inspired.
